About

The guide behind Homefront Fly Co. is a Canadian Armed Forces veteran with extensive experience fishing and guiding in remote and demanding environments, including the Arctic and the Pacific Coast. He has also competed with the Alberta Competitive Fly Fishing group in both provincial and national events, experience that further sharpens a disciplined approach to reading water, adapting to changing conditions, and preparing thoughtfully for every day on the river. Time spent on these waters builds a different kind of perspective — one rooted in preparation, adaptability, and quiet attention to changing conditions.

Guiding is about more than putting fish in the net. It’s about learning to read water, adjusting to weather and flow, and understanding why things work when they do. Whether someone is new to fishing or looking to refine technique, each trip is tailored to the angler, the season, and the water in front of us.

There’s no rush and no rigid formula. Just honest days outdoors, steady instruction when it’s needed, and space to enjoy the process. The focus is always on making the time meaningful — not just productive.

Homefront Fly Co. guides across Alberta’s rivers and waters, offering approachable, thoughtful experiences grounded in real-world experience, respect for place, and a calm, professional approach to time on the water.

Homefront Fly Co. was created out of a deep respect for time on the water and the people who choose to spend it there. What began as a personal pursuit has grown into a guiding service shaped by patience, preparation, and fishing with intention.
